A $120,000 gray 2013 Bentley Lemans stolen just after Hurricane Irma rampaged through Fort Myers was found by police in a ditch, smashed against a fence.

The luxury auto, owned by The Shell Factory and Nature Park owners Tom and Pam Cronin, was reported stolen from the parking garage at Pointe Royal Condominiums in Fort Myers between 7 p.m. Sept. 11 and 9 a.m. Sept. 12, according to a Fort Myers Police Department report.

Tom Cronin said that he had left the doors to the Bentley and a 2007 green Jaguar XKR convertible open to allow Pointe Royal security guards to move the vehicles in case of storm surge. The condominium garage is on the Caloosahatchee River.

During the times listed on the report, Cronin said that someone had gone through both vehicles taking cash and driving off with the Bentley.

Fort Myers police found the car shortly before 4 p.m. on Sept. 12 in the area of Rockfill Road and Canal Street stuck in a ditch and against a fence with front-end damage.

The car was towed to Sam Galloway Ford.
