Formed in Southern California in 1971, the band has scored six No. 1 albums and have topped the singles charts five times. The Eagles were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998 in their first year of eligibility and received the Kennedy Center Honors in 2016.

The Eagles' hits have included "Take It Easy," "Hotel California" and "In The Long Run."

Band co-founder and Detroit-area native Glenn Frey died in 2016.

Accomplished and award-winning country star Vince Gill joins the Eagles for the tour, along with Frey's 24-year-old son, Deacon.

The tour begins March 14, at the United Center in Chicago. Other cities include Nashville, Denver, Minneapolis, Toronto, Boston, Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia, where the tour ends July 28 at Citizens Bank Park.

More concert dates are expected, tour officials said.
